For the past 12 years the Medichair company has been the honouring Canada’s war veterans in Oakville. This year over 350 plus war veterans came together at the Oakville Conference Centre. The opportunity to attend an event where so many men and women fought for the freedom’s we enjoy was a humbling experience. Here are a few of the pictures to commemorate the sacrifice of our country’s heroes.

Afghanistan Veterans were also in attendance: Battle Sergeant  Palovic had 15 comrades die in battle beside him during his 2 year 4 month tour(right), Battle Group Master Corporal Banks Served 7 months, and Battle Group Master Corporal Chu. Both Banks and Chu were part of the Canadian Reserves, and were chosen in a lottery system to serve in battle from over 4000 applicants where 90 were chosen. Photo Credit: Oakville News

Afghanistan Veterans were also in attendance : Sergeant Pavle Pavlovic lost 15 comrades during the 2 years and 4 months he spent in Afghanistan over 4 deployments (left), Master Corporal Chris Banks served 7 months (centre), both served in the front lines with the Battle Group; and Master Corporal Joe Chu served 7 months as well. Both Chu and Banks are part of the Canadian Army Reserves and were selected from thousands of soldiers who applied to deploy to Afghanistan. Photo Credit: Oakville News

This was an amazing afternoon in celebration of Canadian Heroes, and MediChair Company is to be commended for organizing the event.
