“An Evening with Kevin and Janice Flynn – A Celebration of 30 Years of Service to the Oakville Community”  drew overwhelming support, generosity and friendship from both constituents and supporters.

“I have been honoured to represent the people of Oakville for 30 years, and to celebrate the occasion, Janice and I were delighted to host a casual buffet-style dinner, silent auction and fundraiser at the Operating Engineers Banquet Hall and Conference Centre in Oakville,” said Kevin.

MPP Kevin Flynn has represented this dynamic town and its wonderful people as an elected official for the past 30 years. Eighteen of those years were spent serving at the Town and Regional level. Kevin is now entering his 12th year as Member of Provincial Parliament. Throughout those 30 years, the community has come together and generously donated their resources to many organizations and individuals in need. Kevin is “proud to have worked alongside you and to have built terrific friendships along the way.”

One of the many incredible people in our community was Bryce Smith, a newly married young man who had been battling brain cancer for a number of years. During his brave journey, oncologists found that Bryce responded very well to a new but very costly drug called Avastin. As this drug is not currently covered by OHIP, the Oakville community came together in a non-political gathering to raise funds for Bryce Smith. Bryce succumbed last week. It was, however, Kevin’s desire to help.

There was a Live Auction featuring a generous donation from Molly Maid of free house keeping for a year. It was valued over $3000 and would make a fantastic Christmas present for any household! There were also sports tickets, VIP tours and so much more. Thanks to the generosity of the sponsors that included the Operating Engineers 793, the Provincial Building Trades and Molly Maid, Kevin and Janice were thrilled to know that every dollar that was raised from this event would go directly to charity; including the Bryce Smith Avastin Fund.

“I want to express my sincere gratitude for the overwhelming support the community has shown,” said Kevin.

Kevin Flynn, MPP would also like to invite you the “Kevin Flynn’s 12th Annual Christmas Open House” to be held Sunday November 30th, 2014 from 3-5pm at the Royal Canadian Legion at 70 Jones Street, just south of Lakeshore Road West in Bronte, Oakville.

“I hope to see you at our annual holiday event. Please feel free to bring a friend or two as we gather to celebrate the season. Don’t forget a donation of a non-perishable item for our local charitable organizations,” announced MPP Flynn. To contact Kevin Flynn MPP email: Kevin Flynn, MPP [kflynn.mpp.co@liberal.ola.org]
