Halton Police have charged Oakville resident Alexandre LEMELIN with 2 additional counts of Arson in relation to fires that were set at structures in Bronte Park during September and October 2015.
These charges are in addition to 3 counts of Arson laid against LEMELIN in November 2015 for other fires that were set at various locations in Oakville.
LEMELIN is due to appear in Milton court on February 23rd.
On November 6th 2015 Halton Police investigators arrested an Oakville resident in relation to several suspicious fires that occurred in the Town of Oakville over the past several weeks.
These fires occurred at Lions Valley park, a playground at the Glen Abbey recreational centre and a barn fire at St Volodymyr’s Church on Dundas Street West in Oakville.
Investigators credit the efforts of uniform officers conducting proactive patrols in identifying the suspect in this matter.
Subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of 28 year Alexandre LEMELIN of Oakville. LEMELIN has been charged with 3 counts of Arson and has been held for a bail hearing.
