On Friday May 30th, 2014, at approximately 6:05 pm a lone male suspect attended a pharmacy in the Bronte area of Oakville. The victim was attempting to close the business for the day when the suspect pulled a firearm from his waist area and told the victim to open the door.

The victim struggled with the suspect, calling for help. Near-by citizens began taking notice and the suspect fled the area on foot, in the company of another male.

Approximately 35 minutes later, a suspect matching the same description, robbed a pharmacy in the east end of Oakville with what appeared to be a handgun. The suspect demanded narcotics from the pharmacist and left the store with a quantity of pills. The suspect fled the area on foot.

No vehicle was observed in either incident.

Neither victim received any injuries.

Police would like to remind the public that the stolen drugs are strong prescription narcotics and if consumed outside of the care of a doctor it could be fatal.
The suspect is described as:

  • Male/white
  • Approximately 5’7”
  • Medium build
  • Possibly in his late 20’s or early 30’s

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Detective-Constable. Sean Neglia of the Halton Regional Police Service Criminal Investigation Bureau at 905-825-4747 Extension 2248.

Police remind the public to utilize Crime Stoppers to report any illegal activity at 1 800 222-TIPS (8477), through the web at or by texting “Tip201” with your message to 274637(crimes).
