Halton Police are currently investigating a robbery that occurred at the Piggy Mart Convenience store located at 2290 Lakeshore Road West at East Street (Bronte village) in Oakville.

On June 1st at approximately 07:10 hours the victim was opening his store for business when two male suspects entered the store and demanded cash. Both suspects began punching and kicking the victim, followed by one of the suspects pointing a handgun at him. The suspects then attempted to open a cash drawer but left empty handed when a customer entered the store. Both suspects are believed to have left the area in a vehicle that was parked nearby.

Suspects are believed to be white males in their late teens, medium height and build, wearing grey hoodies, and concealed their identity via face masks and gloves. One suspect was armed with a black handgun.

The suspect vehicle is described as being similar to a 2000 Silver Honda Civic 4 door, with tinted windows.

The victim in this matter was transported to a nearby hospital with facial injuries, his injuries are deemed to be non-life threatening.

The Police did close down a number of roads in the Bronte area, as well as used the K9 Unit to track the suspects, before it was determined that they fled the scene via the aforementioned car.
