Halton Police have arrested a male in relation to a robbery that occurred at the Shoppers Drug Mart,  located at 550 Kerr Street, in the Town of Oakville, on January 28, 2016. The male is also charged with several thefts that occurred over the past 2 months at other Shoppers Drug Mart locations and LCBO stores in Oakville.

Neil Rousselle MACMILLAN, 31 years of Oakville is charged with the following offences:

  1. Robbery,
  2. Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose,
  3. Theft Under $5000.00 (3 counts),
  4. Breach of Probation (5 counts), and
  5. Possession of a Controlled Substance (2 counts).

MACMILLAN has been held in custody for a bail hearing.

The Halton Regional Police are currently investigating a robbery that occurred at the Shoppers Drug Mart, 550 Kerr Street, Oakville in Kerr Village.

On January 28, 2016 at 4:20pm, A lone male entered the Store, removed a number of video games from a display and concealed them on his person.

The male was observed by another customer and confronted as he attempted to leave the store. The two engaged in a short confrontation as the customer attempted to prevent the unknown male from leaving.

The male produced a small pocket knife and fled the scene.

The male was last observed heading north from the Shoppers Drug Mart towards the railway lines.

The male was described as being male white, 6’2”, slim build, dark beard, wearing a dark coloured coat, grey hoodie with hood up, dark pants, sunglasses and carrying a black backpack.

No one was hurt as a result of this incident.
