Over 7,600 free activities will take place in over 900 communities across Canada to celebrate the 6th annual Culture Days weekend, including over 25 activities that are planned to take place here in Bronte Village.

“Culture is an integral part of what makes our community so vibrant and the Bronte BIA is so proud and excited to be participating again in Culture Days, says BIA Chair, Mary Roberts. This annual event is an opportunity to publicly showcase the enormous talent and creativity that exists right here in Bronte Village. I encourage everyone to express their love of culture by participating in some of the fantastic free activities on offer. Get out and discover our wonderfully talented local artists and cultural offerings, roll up your sleeves and get creative yourself!”.

Culture Days will be celebrated in hundreds of cities and towns from coast to coast to coast, with thousands of free activities offering a wide range of disciplines including: visual arts, music, dance, theatre, architecture, heritage, film and video, literature, culinary arts and new media.
Check out some of the many free and fun Culture Days activities in Bronte Village on September 25-27 including:

  • Artists – Visit participating locations to see exceptional artwork in multi-media, jewellery and pottery from talented area artists.
  • Musical Bike Ride – September 26, 11 AM-5PM. The Musical Bike Ride is an interactive community art and musical bike that can be pedaled just about anywhere. When rolled out it can accommodate dozens of participants of every age group who join together on and around the bike to create their own collaboration in music.

Join us in front of Trias Gallery for “Chalk The Walk”, a fun opportunity to show us your skills and create a chalk drawing on the sidewalk outside the gallery on Bronte Rd! Weather permitting, from noon to 4pm we’ll supply the drawing materials, we just need your creativity to bring the images to life! All age groups and skill levels are welcome.
  • Other Kids Fun – South Shore Spa Nail painting, arts and crafts with Bronte Village Residents Assn. and Simply Green Baby.
