On Wednesday March 9, 2016, the Halton Region Small Business Centre, in partnership with the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development, Employment and Infrastructure, will host their annual business networking event for women entrepreneurs and small business owners.
The theme for this year’s event: Connect, Teach, Inspire, will offer a chance for local women entrepreneurs to connect with their peers, learn from each other and provide support and inspiration through shared experiences and stories of success. The event also celebrates International Women’s Day.
International Women’s Day celebrates the social, political, economic and cultural achievements of women around the globe. Halton is committed to helping local entrepreneurs succeed through events like Connect, Teach, Inspire that celebrate achievement and provide networking opportunities to ensure that our economy continues to thrive now and in the future.
Participants will have the opportunity to listen to an inspiring keynote talk by Carolyne Rashford, Professional Speaker, Trainer and Coach. An interactive workshop: Invisible to Invincible – presented by Suzanne Longstreet, Business Clarity Coach, will also be a key component of the event. Attendees will also hear from two “local spotlight” success stories and have a chance to network with other entrepreneurs.
The Women’s Day event will take place on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at the OE Banquet Hall & Conference Centre, 2245 Speers Road, Oakville from 7:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Breakfast is included and registration is $35. To register or get more information, please visit halton.ca/businesswomen or dial 311.
