Halton Regional Police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred in the Town of Oakville in the early hours of February 5, 2015.

At 1:35am, two residents of an address on Redstone Crescent returned home in their vehicle and pulled into their driveway. As the driver exited his vehicle he heard the sound of gunshots and observed a male standing on the roadway at the end of his driveway. Redstone Crescent runs south of Pine Glen Drive and West of Third Line in the Westmount neighbourhood.

The suspect fired several more shots at the resident and their vehicle before running to a vehicle waiting for him and fleeing the area. There were no injuries sustained by either of the residents as a result of this incident.

The armed suspect is described as being a black male, approximately 5’10” with a slim build, wearing dark clothing that included a hoodie. There is no available description on the suspect driver involved.

The suspect vehicle is described as a smaller dark grey pickup truck, possibly with tinted windows. It was last seen heading southbound on Third Line shortly after 1:35am. Police believe this is a targeted incident towards the residents of this address and there is no immediate concern for public safety as a result of what occurred.

Police are appealing for any possible witnesses to this incident who may have been in the area of Third Line and Pine Glen Road in the Town of Oakville around 1:30am.

Anyone with information is asked to call D/Sgt Andy Forde, 2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825 4747 ext. 2215, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800 222-TIPS (8477), through the web at www.haltoncrimestoppers.com or by texting “Tip201” with your message to 274637.
