About: Join us in front of our gallery for “Chalk The Walk”, a fun opportunity to show us your skills and create a chalk drawing on the sidewalk outside our building! Weather permitting, from noon to 4pm we’ll supply the drawing materials, we just need your creativity to bring the images to life! All age groups and skill level are welcome. We’ll post images on Facebook to share the experience.

Musical Bike Ride
Location: The bike will be present throughout the Bronte Harbour Village area

About: The Musical Bike Ride is an interactive community art and musical bike that can be pedalled just about anywhere. When rolled out it can accommodate dozens of participants young and the young of heart to make sounds and beats together or individually. This interactivity is unique as usually words are not spoken, just beats and big smiles from the participants.

Salsa Night

About: The ‘Bronte Commercial Fishermen’s Memorial’ is a granite monument dedicated to those hardy fishermen who battled wind and waves on an unforgiving lake to earn a living for their families and help establish Bronte’s history as a fishing community. Listen to local resident ‘historian’ Ken Pollock speak of the fishermen who went out on the lake, and those who didn’t return. Located steps from Bronte boardwalk into park, the monument overlooks the opening to the Harbour area.

Sovereign House Tour
Location: 7 West Rivers Street, Bronte Village, Oakville, Ontario

About: This house, completed in 1846, was built for Charles Sovereign, a local justice of the peace, and moved to its present location in 1988. Renowned author Mazo de la Roche lived here between 1910 and 1915. The Bronte Historical Society now operates the house. Take a guided tour, see a show by local artists and enjoy spectacular views of Bronte Harbour.
