Recommendation:
That By-law 2017-042, a By-law to amend By-law 1984-1 (The Traffic By-law), be passed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. 2017 RBC Canadian Open 21-32
  –           Report from Roads and Works Operations Department and Economic Development Department, April 7, 2017  

 

Recommendation:
1. That the report 2017 RBC Canadian Open from the departments of Economic Development and Roads and Works Operations, dated
April 7, 2017, be received.

 

2. That event banners for the 2017 RBC Canadian Open and directional signage on access roads leading to and from Glen Abbey Golf Course, bus shuttle routes, and public parking areas, be implemented to the satisfaction of the department of Roads and Works Operations.

 

3. That the requirements of Sign By-law 2006-005, as amended, be waived for all signage and banners requested for the 2017 RBC Canadian Open.

 

4. That the requirements of Noise By-law 2008-098, as amended, be waived for all site activities requested for the 2017 RBC Canadian Open.

 

5. That a low-level RCAF flyby be permitted on Tuesday, July 25 for the 2017 RBC Canadian Open opening ceremonies.

 

6. That an additional one-time expense in the amount of $20,000 for the 2017 RBC Canadian Open be approved and funded from the Tax Stabilization reserve, resulting in a revised total amount of $110,000 to be funded from the Tax Stabilization reserve.

Recommendation:
1. That the report dated April 28, 2017 from the Parks and Open Space department; be received.

 

2. That By-law 2017-050, a by-law to amend By-law 2012-007, a by-law to establish rules and regulations for Town of Oakville harbours, be passed.

Recommendation:
1. That the report Beautification Enhancements to Town Parks and Trailsfrom the Parks and Open Space department, dated April 26, 2017, be received; and

 

2. That staff work with Waters Edge Park residents on a formal park adoption program.

 

 

8. Options Available to the Oakville Fire Department to Enhance Medical Treatment for Overdose Victims 121-156

Recommendation:
1. That the report Options Available to the Oakville Fire Department to Enhance Medical Treatment for Overdose Victims dated April 30, 2017 from the Fire Department, be received.

 

2. That the Oakville Fire Department maintain the current level of medical response, and continue to monitor confirmed Fentanyl use in the Town of Oakville for any significant changes in partnership with the Halton Regional Medical Officer of Health.
