Culture Days is returning for its eighth exciting year and this time it will be bigger and better!

Instead of one day, Culture Days will be held September 29 to October 1, 2017, featuring thousands of free, hands-on, interactive activities that invite the public to participate “behind-the-scenes.”

Enjoy free family-friendly entertainment, art workshops, dance, ceramics, live music and more. Discover the world of artists, creators, heritage experts, architects, curators, designers and other creative people in your community. There’s something for everyone!

This year, as well as Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre (QEPCCC), Culture Days is expanding to include the following outdoor locations:

  • Downtown Oakville: Towne Square and Centennial Square
  • Bronte: Bronte Waterfront Park and Bronte Gazebo
  • Kerr Village: Westwood Park and Heritage Square

Dance Caravan

The Dance Caravan is travelling across Oakville on Saturday, September 30! Watch as Oakville’s talented youth dancers put on a show for everyone to enjoy!

The Caravan will be at the following locations:

  • Farmers Market (George Street) 11:30-12:15 p.m. – Christina’s Dance Arts
  • Iroquois Ridge Community Centre 1-1:45 p.m. – All Star Urban Dance Team
  • River Oaks Community Centre 2:30-3:15 p.m. – All Star Urban Dance Team
  • Glen Abbey Community Centre 4-4:45 p.m. – Halton Dance Network

Stop by at one of the great destinations or follow the Dancer around Oakville to enjoy the full experience!

Have a cultural activity you’d like to share?

Would your organization like to participate by running an activity at QEPCCC or one of our new outdoor locations? Fill out the application to begin the process or contact events@oakville.ca and let us help you brainstorm how you can contribute.

Some activities require pre-registration

Select workshops offered as part of the Town of Oakville’s Culture Days celebrations require pre-registration and participants will need to arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of the workshop to secure their space. Check out the Fall/Winter program guide or online registration system for more information.

Participants who did not register ahead of time will be accepted in the workshop on the day of the event if space is available. Priority will be given to waitlists printed when registration closes, followed by a day-of-the-event sign-up sheet available at the studios starting at 9:30 a.m. Online registration and waitlists for courses will close on Thursday, September 28 at midnight.
