Celebrate National Canadian Film Day with a Free Screening of The Grand Seduction at Film.Ca Cinemas

Oakville’s Film.Ca Cinemas invites moviegoers to celebrate National Canadian Film Day 2015 with a free screening of The Grand Seduction at 7:00 PM on Wednesday April 29th.

National Canadian Film Day was launched by Reel Canada in 2014 and is “a day to throw off the shackles of fear and insecurity, stand together with Canadians from coast to coast and pat ourselves on the back for something other than various ice-related sports and sports-related doughnut shops…It’s a light-hearted intervention for our national consciousness, a wake-up call to anyone who has not yet been exposed to the great cinematic stories we tell one another in this cold, vast country. It is a way to get over ourselves and have some FUN!”

Screenings of Canadian films are taking place in every province and territory in a variety of cinemas, libraries, schools, community centres and stores.

Film.Ca Cinemas presents last year’s comedic hit The Grand Seduction, starring Taylor Kitsch, Brendan Gleeson and Gordon Pinsent. It is the story of a small Newfoundland fishing village which tries to pull out all the stops to keep a young doctor in town so that the village can secure a lucrative business contract. The film is presented at 7:00 PM for FREE admission.

We thank Reel Canada and eOne Films for providing the performance rights to The Grand Seduction for free to celebrate National Canadian Film Day
