Soldiers of the Lorne Scots will be staging a mock “Section Attack”, in which eight soldiers take out an enemy position. The public will be able to follow along as the exercise is narrated The enactment will be performed on the first fairway of the Oakville Golf Club.

It is the 150th Anniversary of the illustrious Lorne Scots regiment. The Lorne Scots were gazetted in 1866, a year before Confederation, to defend against the Fenians. They trace their roots however to militia units raised to defend Canada against the Americans in the war of 1812. As a result the regimental colours bear battle honours from 1812 to Afghanistan and every conflict in between. Halton and Peel residents can take pride in the storied history of our regiment.
