Hear ye, hear ye! The Oakville Museum cordially requests your presence at the celebration of Queen Victoria’s birthday and International Museums Day! Visit the Erchless Estate, the Merrick Thomas House, and the Old Post Office for fun, family-friendly activities.

  • Saturday: 1:30 to 4:00 PM
  • Sunday: 12:30 to 4:00 PM
  • Monday: 1:30 to 4:00 PM

Meet Historical Society costumed volunteers. Saturday & Monday 1-4:30pm, Sunday 12-4pm. Erchless Estate: elegant home of the Chisholms, founding family of Oakville. Guided tour, multimedia presentation Underground Railroad: Next Stop Freedom! and the What About Water? exhibit.

Special Activities Sunday, 12-4pm: family-friendly games and crafts, live performances from the Playford Players at the Erchless Estate. Traditional English, Irish, Scottish, Canadian and American material arranged for hammer dulcimer, guitar, mandolin, bowed psaltery and Irish Bouzouki.

Admission: FREE! Donations gratefully accepted.
