EVENT INFORMATION

Please join us for this family-friendly event as we raise awareness of mental health in our community and support the Oakville Distress Centre. Bring your family, friends and pets to walk or run a scenic route through Lions’ Valley Park. There is a forgiving 3 km route with little elevation or a 5 km with some hills to add a little challenge as you enjoy the views along the banks of the Sixteen Mile Creek.

  • Registration opens at 8 AM
  • Join us for pre-race fun and entertainment
  • The walk starts at 9:30 and will wrap up between 11:30 and 12:30

ABOUT DISTRESS CENTRE OAKVILLE

The Distress Centre Oakville has been helping the people of Oakville, Milton, Burlington and the surrounding area to better cope with mental health issues, crisis, loneliness, and emotional stress. We are a community-based organization that provides support to individuals 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our service improves the health and wellness of our community and the quality of life of those who are alone, isolated and vulnerable.

Distress Centre Oakville provides a caring, compassionate, and totally confidential telephone service to the residents of Oakville, Milton, Burlington, and surrounding communities. This is a free service and all calls are confidential. We’re here to listen.

HOW YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE

Fill out the online registration form by selecting the  Register Now button.
Once you have registered, the system will automatically create a customizable fundraising page for you to invite friends to pledge you.

To help cover the costs associated with holding this event, we would appreciate an online contribution of $15 per adult and $10 per youth/student
