Raheel Raza spoke to us at the President’s Lunch in November 2011. Author of “Their Jihad …. Not My Jihad”, Raheel Raza is a Canadian award winning writer, public speaker and diversity consultant. Raheel bridges the gap between East and West, promoting cultural and religious diversity for which she has appeared in print and on TV and radio numerous times.

Raheel will give us a presentation about some of the history of Islam, and its relationship to poitics today. Probably she will include and the differences between the Sunni and Shia and other sects.

The Rev. Dr. Karen Hamilton, Secretary of the Canadian Council of churches, said “Raheel Raza is a vibrant, energetic and extremely articulate presenter. With warmth and enthusiasm she engages her audience in a way that does not just leave them informed and energized, though she does that indeed, but inspires and challenges all who hear her to think for them selves and act for the sake of others. She transforms and is transforming and all with good humour and great grace.”

This is a Probus Club of Oakville Event
