Description: Speaker: Alan Batt, Research Associate, Centre for Elder Research, Paramedic program faculty, Fanshawe College and Red Cross humanitarian worker presents on how disasters affect and impact older adults. Alan will discuss lessons learned through several disaster events and translate those lessons into suggestions for practical methods to improve the lives of older adults before, during and after a disaster.
Light refreshments will be provided.
