On Thursday, June 26th, 2014 at approximately 9:50am, West Oak Public School at 2071 Fourth Line in the Town of Oakville learned that one of their students had made a threat to harm students in the school.

The suspect student was not in attendance at the school, and school staff put the school into hold and secure to prevent anyone from entering.

Halton Police officers attended and subsequently identified the suspect.

At 12:20pm, the suspect was located and arrested for Uttering Threats.

The hold and secure was lifted from the school.

Police will continue the investigation.

The accused’s identity is protected under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
