Tim Hudak, Leader of the Official Opposition and MPP for Niagara West-Glanbrook, will speak at an Oakville Chamber of Commerce luncheon on Friday, April 25, 2014 at the Holiday Inn Oakville Centre.

Mr. Hudak MPP was first elected to parliament in 1995, at the age of 27 making him the second youngest person to be elected in Canada. Since then he has been the Minister of Northern Development & Mines, then Minister of Culture, Tourism and Recreation, and then Minister of Consumer and Business Services. In 2009, Mr. Hudak became the leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario.

“We are very pleased to have the opportunity to host Mr. Hudak,” says Chamber Chair Orla Johnston. “Given a possible Spring provincial election, our members will be very interested in hearing directly from Mr. Hudak about his vision for the province.”

Mr. Hudak’s visit marks the latest in a series of speaking engagements the Chamber has hosted in Oakville over the past two years with party leaders, cabinet ministers, senior government officials and prominent business leaders. “These engagements are part of our strategic plan and mission to foster a healthy economic environment in Oakville. We do everything we can to keep Oakville top of mind with political and business leaders,” notes Johnston.

Members of the public are invited to attend. Tickets are available online at www.oakvillechamber.com or by contacting Carina at the Oakville Chamber of Commerce at 905-845-6613 ext. 205, carina@oakvillechamber.com. The cost of the tickets is $25 for chamber members and $30 for non-members. Tables of eight may also be reserved. All prices are subject to HST. The date is Friday, April 25, 2014 at the Holiday Inn Oakville Centre, 590 Argus Road, Oakville. The event will begin with registration at 11:30 am followed by the luncheon from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm.
