This September 6th Kerr Village BIA promises to blow your socks off with an incredible line up top tier talent from right across Canada from Rock & Roll to toe tapping country. The restaurants are open and will be ready to give your taste buds a treat from several of Oakville’s restaurants. So from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM you’re in for a treat at the inaugural Kerr-Fest in Kerr Village.

Gear Music Stage

Gear Stage is located at Kerr Street & Stuart Street.

12:00 PM to 12:40 PM – The Beat Heathens

Scott Apted, the band’s drummer, served for many years in Oakville’s “Burning Bridges”, recording two albums with them. He has opened for the likes of “Govr’t Mule” (featuring members of the “Allman Brothers”) and Max Webster (with Kim Mitchell).

12:45 – Mayor’s Open Remarks

12:50 PM to 1:30 PM – Splash & Boots

The history of Splash’N Boots can be traced back to 2003 in Kingston, Ontario Canada. It was there, while attending Queens University, that Taes and Nick performed their first concert together at the local Central Library as part of a class project.

1:35 PM to 2:05 PM – Juggle Magic

This dynamic group performs, demonstrates and implements magic, juggling, face painting, balloon twisting, balloon decorating, unicycling and stilt walking.

2:10 PM – 2:50 PM – Ferguson Young Band

Young Ferguson is a 22 year old Hip Hop artist born and raised in Toronto Canada. He is currently working on the 3rd highly anticipated Album, “Second Best 2” , which will be available online for free download soon, His “Life Above the Sun” and “Second Best” albums are available now.

2:55 PM to 3:35 PM – Electric Revival

Formed in late 2009, The Electric Revival, consisting of three longtime friends, hit the ground running with the release of guitarist Ian Dillon’s independent E.P. With the inclusion of longtime friends Dallas Lobb on drums, and Dan Toews on bass, the group began playing local Calgary gigs until enough material had been created to release a full length album.

3:40 PM to 4:10 PM – Pyrobelle

Pyrobelle a.k.a. Victoria Wood is a multi-talented artist specializing in circus arts, fire dancing, and fire eating.

4:15 PM to 5:00 PM – Skit Disturbers

Westwood Park Stage

Westwood Park Stage is located in Westwood Park at Bond Street & Kerr Street.

2:30 PM to 3:10 PM – Shakin’Natives

A local Oakville Indie/Rock Band featuring Fraser Mcclean (Guitar/ Vocals), Conor Sowsun (Guitar/ Vocals), Marshall Lawr (Bass/ Vocals) and Mark Gomes (Drums). They count as influencers The Velvet Underground, The Libertines, The Strokes, At the Drive-In, Nirvana, Whitest Boy Alive, Black Sabbath, Arctic Monkeys, Pink Floyd and Morphine.

3:15 PM to 4:15 PM – Practically Hip

Established in Southern Ontario in 1997,” Practically Hip” wows their audiences with their passionate recreation of the Hip’s unique sound. They are the most sought after “Tragically Hip” tribute / clone act in Ontario and the U.S.

4:30 PM to 5:30 PM – Vanessa Marie Carter

Vanessa Marie Carter was born in White Rock, British Columbia and moved to Oakville, Ontario at the age of two. In early 2011, Vanessa began working with a Canadian Indie record label and recorded four country songs out of Nashville, Tennessee, all of which are available today on iTunes.

5:45 PM to 7:00 PM – Bill Durst

Bill Durst is a Canadian Blues- Rock- Roots guitarist, singer, songwriter, entertainer who has written and recorded over 115 songs on 11 albums with 7 national radio chart hits.

7:15 PM  to 8:30 PM –  Cowboy Junkies

Cowboy Junkies are a Canadian alternative country/blues/folk rock band. The group was formed in Toronto in 1985 by Margo Timmins, Michael Timmins, Peter Timmins and Alan Anton.

8:45 PM to 10:00 PM – Wide Mouth Mason

Wide Mouth Mason is a Canadian blues-based rock band, consisting of Shaun Verreault (Lead Vocals, Guitar), Safwan Javed (Percussion, Backing Vocals), and Gordie Johnson (Bass, Backing Vocals). Former bassist Earl Pereira was also co-founder of Wide Mouth Mason.
