Welcome to the last long weekend of the Summer. Hard to believe it is already time for school to begin. Both Public Schools and Sheridan College will start on September 2, 2014. The private schools start a week later on September 7th. So here is what is open and closed this holiday weekend: Labour Day! Open September 1:

  • Oakville Museum
  • Lions, Falgarwood and Brookdale outdoor pools
  • Downtown Oakville
  • Oakville YMCA
  • Most of Oakville’s restaurants will be open for the holiday Monday!

Closed August 30, 31 and September 1:

  • Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts
  • Centennial Pool
  • Glen Abbey Fitness Centre
  • QEPCCC Youth Centre
  • Bronte and Wedgewood outdoor pools

Closed August 31 and September 1:

  • Bronte and Oakville youth centres
  • All libraries
  • Oakville Galleries

Closed September 1:

  • Town Hall
  • Community centres
  • All indoor pools
  • Arenas
  • Seniors’ centres

Transit Service: Oakville Transit is offering its holiday service schedule on Monday, September 1, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
