Bird was a very close friend and she and her husband, Michael, included me in their family life. For that, I am very thankful. I was the altar server at their wedding. Both she and Mike brought much joy, understanding and humor to me. I miss Bird greatly. As she died by suicide, so did my sister. Much needs to be done to prevent such tragedies.
