The Halton Regional Police Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit (CASA) have investigated and subsequently arrested an area driving instructor.

Over a period of several weeks and during five (5) in car driving lessons,  a 17-year-old female took driving lessons at Leaders Driving School in the Town of Oakville.

The victim contacted police and reported inappropriate and unwanted physical contact by her instructor.

Accused:

Zia SHAH (56 yrs) from Oakville is charged with:

  • Sexual Assault
  • Sexual Exploitation

The accused has been released from custody with a court date of May 20th, 2014 in the Town of Milton. The accused has conditions not to instruct any female students.

Police believe there may be other victims and encourage these women to come forward and contact the CASA Unit at 905 825-4747 ext 8760.
