Halton Regional Police officers, members of the Strategic Proactive Youth Enforcement Team (SPYE) cultivated street level intelligence that led to a two week investigation which resulted in the arrest of three adults for drug and weapon offences.

SPYE officers working in partnership with Oakville Strategic Support Team officers (SST) made several attempts to arrest the accused, Benny HAYES on a Halton warrant at a residence on North Service Road in the Town of Oakville.

On Wednesday July 2nd, 2014, officers located HAYES and two female roomates inside the residence. While effecting the arrest of HAYES, investigators observed a small quantity of heroin and a prohibited weapon, a “flick knife”. As a result, all three occupants of the apartment were arrested.

A Criminal Code search warrant was subsequently obtained for the premise and additional quantities of heroin, cocaine, marihuana, and Dexedrine were seized from inside of the apartment.

Charged in relation to this investigation are:

Benny HAYES (30 years old, of Oakville)

  • Possession of a Prohibited Weapon
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance – 3 counts (heroin, Dexedrine, marihuana – under)
  • Breach of Prohibition Order
  • Failure to Comply with Probation Order – 2 counts
  • Held for a bail hearing

Allison BASS (23 years old, of Oakville)

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance – 3 counts (heroin, Dexedrine, marihuana – under)
  • Failure to Comply with Probation Order
  • Released after signing Forms 10, 11.1

Sandra HADLOW (47 years old, of Oakville)

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance – 2 counts (cocaine, marihuana – under)
  • Released after signing Forms 10, 11.1
