Oakville Drug Traffickers Busted by Halton Police

On June 18, 2014 the following Oakville residents were charged: Natalie Duperrouzel, Christopher Kuehn, Darrell Cowan along with a 17 year-old teenager.

Halton Regional Police investigators from the Oakville Strategic Support Team received information identifying a highly active drug trafficker in the Town of Oakville.

Over the last month, officers conducted an investigation and observed several suspected drug transactions at the accused, Darrell COWAN’s, residence.

On June 18th, 2014, two males were observed attending the accused’s residence and engaged in another suspected drug transaction. The males were stopped and arrested after leaving the residence, and found to be in possession of approximately 3.5 ounces of marihuana.

As a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant was being prepared for the residence, the accused and another male left the house, and were arrested after attending a nearby plaza.

Upon execution of the CDSA search warrant, another male and female were arrested inside who were found to be in possession of both cocaine and marihuana.

An ensuing search of the residence also resulted in the additional seizures of approximately one ounce of marihuana, 6 grams of cannabis resin, one gram of psilocybin, 2 digital scales, packaging, and $1,525 in cash. The estimated street value of the seized drugs is approximatelty $1,600.

Charged in relation to this investigation are:
Darrell COWAN (31 years old, of Oakville)

  • Trafficking a Controlled Substance (marihuana)
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (marihuana – under 3 kg)
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance (marihuana – less than 30 grams)
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (cannabis resin – less than 3 kg)
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance (cannabis resin – over one gram)
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance (psilocybin)

Christopher KUEHN (18 years old, of Oakville)

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (marihuana – less than 3 kg)

Ryan GREEN (28 years old, of Brampton)

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance (marihuana)
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance (cocaine)

Natalie DUPERROUZEL (31 years old, of Oakville)

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance (marihuana – under 30 grams)

A 17 year old male from Oakville was arrested and charged with:

Possession of a Controlled Substance (marihuana – over 30 grams)

The accused’s identity is protected under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

A sixth person was arrested and released unconditionally.
