For the first time the YMCA of Oakville has partnered with YMCA of Northern British Columbia for a new national Youth Travel Exchange program. A group of 20 youth (13-17 years) from Oakville will have the opportunity to participate in this cross-cultural exchange opportunity during March Break. If chosen for the exchange, youth will gain leadership skills through helping to plan the exchange, build teamwork and collaboration skills, form new friendships, explore the culture of Prince George, British Columbia, and gain an increased appreciation for the culture of Oakville.
As part of the YMCA Youth Exchanges Canada Program, the YMCA covers most fees associated with the program including travel and accommodations. The cost for youth is only $120/participant.
