Canada Day is always a great time to be in Oakville, and in particular Bronte Village which is pulling out all the stops to ensure that your Canada Day will be filled with great memories.
There will be live entertainment for all ages and interests from Disney’s Frozen after which the children can meet a princes, to good old classic rock n’roll. However, the big Fireworks display off Bronte Harbour is magical. It is simply a perfect spot to watch a spectacular show from the Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park, which provides everyone with an unobstructed view. This year the show will be synchronized to FRESH 93.5 Radio. The fireworks will start at 10:00 PM.
However this isn’t everything that is in store for visitors. All the shops and restaurants that make up Bronte Village will be open, and a special outdoor market place will be operating.
To keep everyone safe Burloak RIOcan Centre has offered up their large parking lot and there will be shuttle buses moving from Bronte Harbour to Burloak RIOcan Centre and back. Shuttle buses will start at 10:30 AM. The last bus from the Burloak RIOcan Centre to Bronte will be at 9:15 PM. The last bus departing from Bronte will be at 11:00 PM.
Please note that there is very limited public parking available during in Bronte Village on Canada Day. Oakville Transit will be operating on a limited holiday schedule which means that no Oakville Transit buses will be in operation after 8:00 PM.
A great alternative to driving you car is riding your bike. There will be a large bike coral where you can lock up your bike.

Please note that access to Bronte Pier, Harbours and waterfront parks via water will be stopped by Halton Police Water Craft at 5:00 PM.
