A corporate office in Oakville found over $12,000 in damages done following an early morning incident last week involving a lone male suspect.

On Thursday, April 18, 2024, at approximately 3:45 a.m., an unidentified suspect shattered the passenger window of a work truck parked in the lot of the corporate office for Independent Mechanical Supply, located at 2190 Winston Park Drive

According to Halton Police Constable Jeff Dillon, the suspect got in the truck which then rolled backwards into the building and damaged an emergency ladder. Officers believe the vehicle rolled back while it was in neutral but have not concluded that as of yet.

The ladder and cage repair is estimated at $12,000, while an additional window repair is estimated at $600.

The suspect could only be described as a male wearing black pants, a black hoody, and a black mask.

Nothing was taken from the scene and the police investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to contact the 2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4777 ext. 2216.
