Police investigating hit and run after pedestrian hospitalized

Halton Police are currently investigating a hit-and-run in Burlington that sent one pedestrian to a trauma centre.

At approximately 8:32 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, officers responded to reports of a pedestrian-involved motor vehicle collision on Fairview Street near the Burlington GO station at 2101 Fairview Street.

Preliminary investigations reveal that a 35-year-old male pedestrian was crossing Fairview Street when he was struck by a motor vehicle.

Sustaining serious injuries, he was rushed to a trauma centre for urgent medical attention.

The vehicle responsible for the collision fled the scene.

The investigation is currently ongoing.

Police would also like to speak with anyone driving in the area at the time with dashcam footage.
