River Oaks Robbery in a Park results in Victim Hospitalized

The Halton Regional Police were called to the River Oaks and Sixth Line area of Oakville on Tuesday November 26th, 2013 at approximately 11:15 pm after a lone suspect confronted and assaulted a pedestrian on a park path with a sharp object. The suspect demanded the victim’s wallet and then fled the scene on foot.

Police cordoned off the area and conducted a canine search.

The victim was treated and released from hospital for their injuries.

Police are still investigating at this time.

Suspect description: male, white, 6 feet, thin build and wearing dark clothing.
