Suspect Arrested in Oakville Home Invasion

On May 1st 2017, Halton Regional Police investigated a report of a robbery and home invasion at a residence in North Oakville. Subsequent investigation indicated that three suspects had forced their way into the home and demanded cash from a lone occupant. The occupant was threatened with a knife and punched several times by the suspects, however he was not seriously injured.

The incident was deemed to be targeted, and public safety was not a concern at the time.

On Wednesday May 24th 2017, investigators from the Oakville Criminal Investigations Bureau arrested a 19 year old male from Mississauga in relation to an Oakville home invasion. A search warrant was also executed at the suspect’s residence in Mississauga.

Howard WALTON, (19 years) of Mississauga is charged with the following offences:

  1. Break & Enter – Commit Robbery
  2. Utter Threat to Cause Bodily Harm
  3. Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  4. Fail to Comply with Probation Order

WALTON was held in custody pending a bail hearing in Milton Court on May 25th 2017.
