Shortly after 1:30 p.m. on April 8th, Halton police’s Drug, Gun and Gang Unit along with emergency service partners responded to an apartment unit at 1260 Marlborough Court by Sheridan College. Based on the circumstances and initial information, an evacuation of specific areas of the building commenced.

At 4:22 PM in a collaborative effort with our emergency service partners, the evacuation was determined to no longer be required, and the affected residents began to return to their apartments a short time later.

With the assistance of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (Clan Lab team) a small clandestine laboratory was dismantled and samples of unknown substances were obtained. No criminal charges have been laid and the investigation is ongoing, pending lab results from Health Canada.
