Arrested & Charged: Suspected Voyeur Caught on Film in Oakville

Halton Regional Police have arrested the alleged voyeur on July 13, 2017. Ritesh SHAH (44 years of age) of Oakville was charged with one count of voyeurism.

Public safety is of paramount importance in our community. Halton Regional Police Service would like to thank the Town of Oakville, media and members of the public for their assistance in quickly identifying the accused.

The Halton Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspected voyeur caught on film.

On Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at 7:45 pm, a woman caught an unknown male filming her as she was getting ready to swim in the family change room of the Iroquois Ridge Community Centre in Oakville located at 1051 Glenashton Drive in the Joshua Creek neighbourhood.

The male fled the Iroquois Ridge Community Centre upon being confronted by the woman.

This is the first incident to have been reported to the Halton Police Services involving this suspect in the Town of Oakville.

Description of the male subject:

  1. brown skin,
  2. 35 to 45 years old,
  3. 5’10” to 6′ tall,
  4. medium build,
  5. short dark hair,
  6. wearing glasses, a blue golf shirt, beige cargo shorts, and dark sandals.
