In the last two months, in the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan, the world united and showed overwhelming generosity, kindness and solidarity to the people of the Philippines! And the Filipino community in Canada are truly grateful!

However, the need is still great!   And your continued support is as important as ever!

There are still currently more than 300,000 people in 1,223 evacuation centres and more than 11,000 people displaced in host communities, according to recent statistics from the UK website.  In addition, thousands are still in remote communities and are completely exposed to the elements with women and children vulnerable to threat of abuse and trafficking!

Club Filipino of Oakville invites you to join us for a lunch buffet in support of the continuing efforts to help rebuild the communities impacted by Typhoon Haiyan.

DATE:                                    Saturday, December 28, 2013

WHERE:                                 River Oaks Community Centre

LOCATION:                            2400 Sixth Line, Oakville

TIME:                                      12:00 pm

Please join us and open up your hearts and help raise funds for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan.  This is a free event with music, entertainment, a charity auction and raffle draws.
