Today in Oakville: 22 January 2013

205547170463043314_9gGXZIrb_bWeatherOMG it is cold outside. The weather people were right for a change and it is likely the coldest morning we’ve seen this winter. We are going to sit at between minus 12 and 13 for most of day and then drop down to minus 16. The windchill will make it feel like minus 22. So get out the parka, wool mittens and socks – because you’ll need them. Put on the insulated boots since there is a chance for snow flurries. If you are driving make sure you to pack a winter survival kit – blankets, a candle, something to eat and drink. You don’t want to be waiting for a tow-truck in this weather. The nice thing about this kind of weather is the stunning winter skies which will be partially clear, with the sun having risen at 7:44 AM and will set at 5:16 PM. Enjoy the day – that hot cup of coffee will taste extra good. Quote of the Day“Change your thoughts and you change your world.” Norman Vincent Peale 23925441740890989_8xpDndQb_bEventsPaul Harris Society: Rotary Club of Oakville West: 7:15 AMOakville Mompernuers: It’s a Steal Consignment: 10:00 AM to NoonHealth Providers Meetup: Company of Women : 10:00 – 11:30 AMIntro to resume writing: Centre, Skills Development and Training: 1:00 PMUnited Way Achievement Event: Sheridan College Theatre: 5:00 – 7:00 PMFree Yoga for Athletes: Lole Atelier: 6:30 – 7:30 PM
