The Halton Regional Police Service is currently investigating an incident that occurred on the evening of January 11, 2017 in the area of Third Line and Wyecroft Road in Oakville, which is just south of the QEW/403 on Third Line.

At approximately 8:00 p.m. an Ontario Provincial Police officer attempted to pull over a vehicle travelling eastbound on the QEW approaching Third Line. The vehicle failed to stop for the officer, and instead exited the highway at Third Line. At this point, and due to a concern for public safety, the officer ended efforts to pursue the vehicle.

The vehicle continued southbound on Third Line, colliding with several other vehicles near the intersection at Wyecroft Road. The driver and one female passenger fled the scene on foot. A third passenger was quickly apprehended by police. One member of the public who sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision was treated and released from hospital.

Investigators have charged Rishawn SIMPSON, 29 years of Milton with one count of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine). SIMPSON was held in custody for a bail hearing.

Investigators are continuing efforts to locate the driver and female passenger of the vehicle. The identity of the female is unknown, however the driver has been identified as:

Trevor WILLIAMS, 26 years of Oakville. WILLIAMS is described as male, black, approximately 6’1″ and 200 lbs

Charges pending against WILLIAMS include:

Dangerous Driving, Flight from Police, Fail to Remain, Fail to Comply with Recognizance, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine.
