Union Gas has again generously provided a financial donation towards the development and enhancement of programs offered at the H.R.P.S Children’s Safety Village.

On September 8th, 2014 Mr. Mark Egbedeyi-Emmanuel, Union Gas District Manager for Hamilton/Halton, arrived at the Village and presented Chief of Police Steven J. Tanner and Cindy Lawrence, the Coordinator of the Village programs, with a generous donation of $3000.

“At Union Gas, safety governs everything we do, whether we are building a pipeline or installing a gas meter at your home. We want each of our employees to return home safely at the end of every day,” said Egebedeyi-Emmanuel. “Because of our safety culture, we make it a priority to support important and much-needed programs like the Children’s Safety Village, which is helping teach children about safety.”

In recent years, Union Gas has generously given over $40,000 to the Children’s Safety Village. These funds have enabled the Safety Village to help upgrade current equipment, technologies, audio and visual aids to assist with teaching children about safety.

Halton Regional Police Service, on behalf of those who work or volunteer at the Safety Village, are extremely grateful for the continuing generosity and support of Union Gas. Without caring community partners like them, many vital programs aimed at community safety could not be realized.
