During the late morning on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 a West Oak Trails resident interrupted the robbery of the home they were occupying. The residence where the attempted robbery took place is located near the intersection of Grand Oak Trail and Pine Glen Road in the West Oak Trails community of Oakville, Ontario.

Unbeknownst to the thieves, there was an occupant inside the residence. The thieves immediately fled the residence.
