Man Robbed of Necklace Mid-Day next to Sainte-Marie Elementary Catholic School

On Thursday, May 18, 2017, at approximately 11:45am, the victim in this matter was walking in the area of Maurice Drive and Stewart Street in Oakville when he was approached and robbed by an unknown male and female. This is in the Kerr Village area right by the Elementary Catholic School Sainte-Marie.

The male suspect pushed the victim to the ground while the female suspect stole the victim’s necklace. Both suspects then jumped into a nearby van and fled from the area.

The victim was not physically injured as a result of the incident.

Suspect descriptors are as follows:

  1. Male brown, possibly Middle Eastern, 40-45 years, approximately 6’tall, 220 lbs, black hair, wearing a brown t-shirt and black pants.
  2. Female brown, possibly Middle Eastern, 40-45 years, approximately 5’8″, 180 lbs, black shoulder length hair, wearing a short- sleeve dress (to her feet) covered in a flower design.

The vehicle is described as a brown of dark grey minivan, unknown make or model.

Police are warning residents to be vigilant of suspicious persons or vehicles roaming in their neighbourhood and to call police immediately if they observe any suspicious activity occurring.

    Title says “women robbed of necklace” but the story indicates that a man was robbed. Which is it?
