Many participants were in wheelchairs or on sleds with care-givers pushing them across the ice. They were so happy being greeted by members of the Maple Leaf Hockey Team. Others people with disabilities, with help, put on skates, and were on the ice playing with their friends and visiting with the players of the Toronto Maple Leafs: a chance of a lifetime.

After the skate, the autographs and the visits with Maple leaf players, all participants were invited to have lunch and to share the stories of their experiences on the ice.
