The campaigning is over, and today Oakvilleans will head to the polls to vote on who our next two MPPs at Queens Park will be.

Oakville News is ready to bring you full coverage of the election tonight, Feb. 27, 2025. You can visit us once the polls close at 9 p.m. and follow along as the results roll in.

Polls are open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. across Ontario.

You can find our local and provincial election coverage here, along with information on your local candidates, the parties' promises and the latest polls.

Those intending to vote are encouraged to check their assigned voting location by entering their postal code in Voter Information Service at elections.on.ca, by downloading the Elections Ontario app or by consulting their Voter Information Card.

Those cards are meant to make the process easier on election day, but are not a requirement to vote - so long as eligible voters bring along their ID.

PC Party Leader Doug Ford called a snap election in late January, citing the need for a renewed government mandate amid the threat of U.S. tariffs. Voters will now decide which party will govern Canada's most populous province by casting a ballot for a local candidate in their riding.

Ontario’s three-day advance polls saw 678,789 voters cast their ballots this past weekend. That’s 6.14 per cent of eligible voters, marking a significant drop from the 9.92 per cent (1,066,545) who voted in the 2022 advance polls.
