​Halton Regional Police Service have arrested two suspects for their involvement in a brazen street level robbery.

On March 29, 2018, shortly before 12:00 pm, Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) responded to a robbery incident that occurred in an apartment building near the area of Bronte Road and Dundas Street, in the town of Oakville. A female suspect had coerced a male party to her apartment unit under the rouse of asking for assistance with a lodged door. The victim was then assaulted and robbed of his cellular telephone before managing to escape to a nearby construction site.

Responding officers were able to quickly locate the suspect who at that point was in the company of a male party. While police were attempting to affect the female’s arrest, the male party assaulted two of the officers on scene and fled on foot. Moments later the male party was located and arrested by HRPS K9 officers. The victim received minor injuries. The stolen cellular telephone was recovered by police.

Felicia Housen (26) of Oakville was charged with:

  1. Robbery with Violence
  2. Forcible Confinement
  3. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
  4. Resist Arrest

Cory Omar Chung (22) of no fixed address was charged with:

  1. Assault Peace Officer
  2. Assault Peace Officer Cause Bodily Harm
  3. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
  4. Escape Lawful Custody
  5. Obstruct Police
  6. Fail to Comply with Undertaking
  7. Possession of Controlled Substance (Cocaine)

Both accused were held for bail.
