Attempted theft of transit transfer slips at Oakville South Centre

After an exhaustive search for a male attempting transit transfer slips, the Halton Regional Police Services is appealing to the public for assistance.

Shortly after 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2018, a male was attempting to steal transit transfer slips from an Oakville Transit bus (Route 14) at the Oakville South Centre Transit circle, 1515 Rebecca Street.

The suspect made a failed attempt to steal the transfer slips and was later approached by the driver and a passenger at which point he produced a knife, threatened the driver and passenger, and then fled on foot.

Suspect description:

  1. male, white
  2. 5’8”- 5’10”
  3. 155-175 lbs
  4. a tattoo of a bright red pair of lips on right side of his neck just below ear
  5. other numerous tattoos
