General Laborer

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Laborer will perform a range of duties including some or all of the following:
~Assist with glass & screen cutting, glass repairs. thermal unit creation as need.
~Drive workers to and from job sites.
~Assist glaziers on-site with window and thermal unit installation & repairs.
~Maintain a clean & safe workspace.
~Other duties around the shop as required.

Qualifications & Education:
~High School Diploma.
~Post-secondary education in trades is an asset

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
~Knowledge of how to perform the following tasks (or the ability to quickly learn how to do so):
~Accurate glass cutting.
~Repairs to windows, mirrors, glass, screens, etc.
~Build thermal units.
~Build screens.

Applicant is required to have a valid driver’s license and be legally eligible to work in Canada.

~Ability to communicate effectively in a clear & precise manner using appropriate & effective communication tools & techniques.
~Ability to anticipate, understand, & respond to the needs of customers in order to meet or exceed their expectations.

~Time management & organizational skills to prioritize tasks & complete all goals by the deadline.
~Problem solving skills allowing identification of issues as well as the ability to generate possible solutions & make recommendations to resolve the issue.

Experience:
~1-3 years' experience in shop work.
