Rob Reiner well know for his role as Meathead in All in the Family and directing such the block buster Bucket List, will take part in this year's Willson International Oakville Film Festival. Since its beginning back in 2014, The Willson International Oakville Film Festival has been attracting cinephiles - and stars - from across the globe for a weekend of culture and cinema.

This year’s fifth annual festival features 18 feature films and documentaries, 35 short films, and two Gala presentations screening at two locations — Film.ca and the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts.

One Gala presentation is the Canadian Premiere of Director and Hollywood star Rob Reiner’s film Shock and Awe, also starring Woody Harrelson, James Marsden, Jessica Biel and Tommy Lee Jones. The film is about a group of journalists covering George Bush's planned invasion of Iraq in 2003 and their skepticism of the presidents claim that Saddam Hussein has "weapons of mass destruction". Immediately after the screening, Rob Reiner will be joining the festival via a live Skype Q&A to discuss the film.

Saturday's Gala presentation is the Eastern Canadian Premiere of Paper Year, starring Andie MacDowell, Eve Hewson, and Ava Jogia - centered around the challenges that two young newlyweds encounter during the first year of their marriage.

Inspired by the same passion of sharing film with others to help them understand and appreciate good cinema, Wendy Donnan and Judah Hernandez co-founded the festival back in 2013. Since then, the festival has seen exponential growth, attracting more films and more star power each year. For Wendy, Judah, their amazing team, board of directors, and the volunteers, this festival is a labour of love - working relentlessly each year to bring the community of Oakville together to celebrate cinema.

Those interested in attending the fifth annual festival on Friday, June 22 to Sunday, June 24 can buy tickets for each film or from packages that also include two special Gala party events on Friday (Shock and Awe followed by live Skype Q&A with Rob Reiner) and Saturday evening (Paper Year).
