A proactive and action-minded association, the BIA promotes Kerr Village interests, attractions, services and events to the benefit of local businesses and the community at-large.
In addition to the marketing opportunities we create, the Business Improvement Area also champions the frontline issues affecting our neighbourhood: the neglect of public and private spaces, graffiti, petty crime and traffic/parking issues.
Our goal is to make Kerr Village cleaner, safer and more hospitable to landlords, business owners, employees, residents...and visitors. We invite you to stop by for a visit!
The Kerr Village BIA is aligned with the Town of Oakville’s commitment to accessibility, diversity, equity and inclusion. Key initiatives are to identify and implement programming to meet the diverse needs of the community with input from residents, community groups, organizations and businesses. This will include input from all diverse groups. Strategic goals identified: treat everyone with respect; have programs and services that are accessible; to be highly valued and widely celebrated for the innovative and outstanding way we satisfy the needs of our businesses, residents and visitors; to ensure that we deliver a high level of respect to all members of the community, to contribute to being the most livable town in Canada; to create an environment of equality and inclusiveness in the community for all people regardless of their race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, disability, citizenship, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, same sex partnership, age, marital status, family status, immigrant status, receipt of public assistance, political affiliation, religious affiliation, level of literacy, language and/or socio-economic status.
