Oakville Senior Centre

The Oakville Seniors Centre opened its doors 40 years ago, and the community is invited to celebrate at an open house on Sunday, October 25 from 2 to 4 p.m.

Located at 263 Kerr Street, the Oakville Seniors Centre was the first of its kind in the community when it opened in 1974. Since then four more seniors centres have opened in Oakville offering a wide variety of programs and services for residents age 50+.

“We’re very excited to celebrate all the fun and fellowship experienced at the Oakville Seniors Centre over the past four decades,” said Nina de Vaal, director of Recreation and Culture. “All are welcome to join us as we mark this historic occasion and share some exciting plans for the future.”

Light refreshments will be served and Mayor Rob Burton will be on hand for a cake cutting at 2 p.m.
