The American Women’s Club meeting on Thursday October 12th 9:45am is a Canada 150 event! Cian Horrobin from the Monarchist League of Canada will be speaking about the impact of the British Monarchy in Canada, and how British influence has shaped Canada. Entitled “The Crown in Canada,” this presentation will be of interest to Canadian, British, and Americans too. Canada 150 birthday cake will be provided. The public is welcome to attend. During each meeting:

  1. Coffee, tea, and snacks are provided for most meetings.
  2. There may be a few meetings that have a nominal fee depending on the program.
  3. Babysitting for children from 12 months-6 years old is available; must confirm at at least 1 week before general meeting
  4. Social activities and philanthropic opportunities are announced
  5. Various programs and speakers are scheduled each month
  6. Optional lunch following the meeting each month

The American Women’s Club of Southern Ontario is a social and service organization for American citizens, those who have lived in the US, and those with American relatives. AWCO has been serving it’s members here in Halton, Hamilton, and Peel regions since 1977.
