For 33 years, the Civitan Club of Oakville has operated the Town’s longest-running farmers market in support of community charities.

We are thrilled that last spring Dorval Crossing East (southeast corner of Dorval & North Service Roads, just north of the QEW) welcomed our market as its new home.

Our market was launched on May 3rd and operates from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. every Saturday until November 29th.

“Dorval Crossing, a prestige shopping destination, literally at Oakville’s ‘crossroads’, is the best possible location for our famers market,” observed Civitan Club co-President James McCannell. “The enthusiastic welcome offered by the shopping centre’s property manager Bentall Kennedy last year affirmed that we are collaborating with the right partner. Bentall Kennedy is 110% behind our Club, our community and the charities whom we – through the market – support.”

Civitan Doug Guthrie, who has led the market for over a dozen years and been responsible for its success, cites the support of Bentall Kennedy’s Regional Marketing Director Domenic Imbesi for the Civitan market: “Domenic takes his organization beyond the expected. This year, he has approved the funding of special entertainment events catering to children at each Saturday’s market — from face-painting to bouncy castles and stilt walkers. Each Saturday market will have an entertainer to captivate kids.” This makes the Dorval Crossing Civitan Farmers Market a must visit destination for the family each Saturday.
